Rick holds a masters degree from the University of Minnesota at Mankato in Experiential Education and a bachelors degree in Outdoor Recreation from Missouri State University. He is also a YMCA Senior Director. He started working for the YMCA in 1986 as a Cabin Counselor and has been working at various camps ever since. His camp experience includes working four years professionally at Camp Wood YMCA in Elmdale,KS. He also spent eight years working in a therapeutic wilderness camping ministry for emotionally troubled boys in North Carolina. Rick returned to YMCA camping in October 2003 when he joined the Classen staff. Rick has been married to his wife Kate since 1996. They have 2 boys, Micah and Jonah.  580-369-2272 extension 7057
