Russell is originally from Lovelaceville, Kentucky where he grew upworking in a family business. In 1987, he went to Murray StateUniversity in Murray, Kentucky where he majored in Animal HealthTechnology and minored in Equine Science. He was on both the stock seatand hunt seat equestrian teams while in college. He has been workingwith horses for around 20 years. He has been breeding American QuarterHorses for about 10 years and likes the working cow-horse bloodlines.Before coming to camp he was an equine consultant at a feed mill inMayfield, Kentucky. He has been here since March 2005 and now has a dream job here at Camp Classen as the Equestrian Director.
