Main Camp Electives

In addition to the awesome fundamentals of main camp (water, horseback, canoeing and general camp fun), Campers choose a specialized camp elective to appeal to their special interests.

They may choose to develop skills in one of the following choices:

Horseshoe Club – Want to do more than trail riding with horses?  The horseshoe club is designed to advance your camper’s skills on the ground, in the arena, and on the trail.  Popularity has limited space and advanced registration is required.  An additional cost of $55 / one-week session and $75 / two-week session.

Rock-It Club -  Engage your brain, harness your constructive tendencies, and make things fly.  Soda rockets, water balloon launchers, 2-litter air rockets, catapults and a trebuchet. Ammunition requires an additional $15/wk fee.

Creation Station  – This is the opportunity for camper’s creativity to explode!  Campers have many choices to craft a keepsake to bring home.  Ceramics, Beads, painting, lanyards, paper mache and tye dye are some of the options.  There is an additional $5 / wk charge.

Target Sports – They might find themselves - building their own marshmallow gun, knocking down targets with pellet guns, seeing if they can hit every object at the archery shooting gallery or nailing a 3-D target with a blowgun.  Campers will return home with their own marshmallow gun that they built.  There is a $5 /wk additional charge.

Aquatics  – Would your camper grow gills if they could?  When they choose aquatics, they choose a whole lot more time on the lake – developing swimming skills, boating skills, on the water slide, funyaks, canoes, 100’ water slide, and maybe even tackle the “Bass Rock” endurance swim

OWLS (Outdoor Wilderness Living Skills) – Does your child love watching survival shows?  Campers choosing OWLS will find themselves building forts / shelters, making fires, orienteering, geocaching and designing their own trekking sticks

Fields of Dreams  – Some campers can’t get enough action on the field.  This is the elective for high energy fun.  We pack in sports from around the world that combine new games, with traditional sports and camp classics. 

Dance  – Learn crazy fun tradition and respectful modern dance.
